Open letter to parents, students, past and present.
On Friday, May 30, 2008 we ended another school year. After saying good-bye for the summer to our families and staff, we closed the doors of Newton's Apple Preschool. But this year we will not be reopening those doors in the Autumn because of a budget shortfall.
Newton's Apple Preschool was a not-for-profit organization. The main purpose of Newton’s Apple Preschool was to provide structured educational experiences for children in a caring environment. The program emphasized the development of a child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive abilities through the use of the Core Knowledge curriculum sequence. The preschool was designed by people who cared about the health, safety, and development of children in the Fox River area.
It has been my pleasure to be involved with all the wonderful families, children, and staff that have been a part of the Newton’s Apple Preschool community and I will miss it greatly.
